Cyberstalking is stalking or harassment carried out over the internet. It might target individuals, groups, or even organizations and can take different forms including slander, defamation, stealing of information, and threats.
Why is it Important?
Cyberstalking can destroy friendships, credit, careers, self-image, and confidence. It can lead the victim into far greater physical danger when combined with real-world stalking. Cyberstalking includes sending manipulative, threatening, inappropriate or harassing emails from an assortment of email accounts. Hacking into a victim’s online accounts (such as banking or email) and changing the victim’s settings and passwords are also examples of cyberstalking.
